Gubae Terms of Use

Welcome to Gubae. By downloading, accessing, or using the Gubae application,

you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part

of these terms, please discontinue using the application.

1. What Gubae Is

Gubae is a free digital companion developed for Ethiopian Christian worship,

spiritual growth, Scripture study, prayer journaling, and church community

engagement. The app is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis for

personal, non-commercial devotional purposes.

2. Your Account

• Account Creation: You can use most features of Gubae anonymously as a guest. To synchronise your bookmarks, reading streaks, notes, and personal prayer journal across devices, you may sign in with your Google account. Google is the only way to sign in.
• Account Security: You are responsible for the security of your device and your Google account.
• Account Deletion: You retain complete control over your account. You can permanently delete it and all associated cloud data at any time from Settings → Your Account → Delete My Account.

3. Community Submissions & Participation

• Contributions: When you submit a song lyric, church directory entry, event announcement, correction, or photo, you confirm that:

1. You have the right to submit it and that it is accurate as far as you know.
2. It does not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.

• Licence to Gubae: Submitting content grants Gubae a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to format, curate, and display the material within the app.
• Review & Removal: Every submission is reviewed by an administrator before publication. Gubae may decline, edit, or remove any submission without prior notice.
• Public Visibility: If you mark that you are interested in or attending an event, your display name may be visible to other people looking at that event and to whoever organises it.

4. Content Ownership & Intellectual Property

• The Holy Bible: The English texts in Gubae are in the worldwide public domain, and the Amharic text is the standard 1954 translation. Gubae claims no ownership over any scripture text it carries.
• The Library: Historical classic books are in the worldwide public domain, published before 1928. Educational articles are gathered under educational fair-use principles, with original authors and source links attributed. Gubae claims no ownership over third-party texts.
• Song Lyrics: Lyrics and hymn texts remain the property of their singers, writers, choirs, and publishers. They are provided for personal praise and worship; selling or republishing them commercially is prohibited.
• Software & Branding: Gubae's software, interface design, logo, and brand are protected by copyright. Reverse engineering, scraping, or redistributing the software is prohibited.

5. Advertising

• Gubae displays advertisements supplied by Google AdMob to keep the service free.
• The Holy Bible is 100% ad-free for everyone. No advertisement will ever appear in a Scripture reading screen.
• Subscriptions: Gubae does not sell a subscription today. If one is offered in future, subscribers will see no advertising anywhere in the app.

6. Voluntary Giving & The Gubae Family

• Supporting Gubae through Telebirr, CBE, M-PESA, or Buy Me a Coffee is a voluntary gift to the ministry, not a purchase. No payment passes through the app.
• Non-Refundable: Because support is a gift rather than a purchase of goods or services, it is not refundable.
• Gubae Family Badge: Joining the Gubae Family shows a member card on your profile with our gratitude. It does not remove advertising, and family members still see advertisements.

7. Prohibited Conduct

When using Gubae, you agree not to:

• Post, submit, or transmit anything unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or fraudulent.
• Scrape, harvest, or extract the catalogue in bulk using bots or scripts.
• Interfere with or disrupt Gubae's servers or network.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

• Gubae is provided free of charge without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that data will never be lost.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gubae and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or from loss of stored data. Please keep your own copies of prayer notes you could not bear to lose.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest

revision, and continuing to use Gubae after a change means you accept it.

የጉባኤ የአጠቃቀም ውሎች

ለመጨረሻ ጊዜ የተሻሻለው፦ መስከረም 25 ቀን 2019 ዓ.ም (October 5, 2026)

እንኳን ወደ ጉባኤ በደህና መጡ። የጉባኤ መተግበሪያን በማውረድ፣ በመጫን ወይም በመጠቀም በእነዚህ የአጠቃቀም ውሎች ለመገዛት ተስማምተዋል። በእነዚህ ውሎች ካልተስማሙ መተግበሪያውን ከመጠቀም እንዲቆጠቡ በአክብሮት እንጠይቃለን።

1. የጉባኤ አገልግሎት ምንነት

ጉባኤ ለኢትዮጵያ ክርስቲያኖች መንፈሳዊ አገልግሎት፣ ለአምልኮ፣ ለመጽሐፍ ቅዱስ ጥናት፣ ለጸሎት ማስታወሻና ለአብያተ ክርስቲያናት መረጃ የተዘጋጀ ነጻ መተግበሪያ ነው። አገልግሎቱ ለግል መንፈሳዊ ጥናትና አምልኮ "እንደቀረበው" (As-Is) የሚሰጥ ነው።

2. የእርስዎ አካውንት

• አካውንት መክፈት፦ አብዛኛውን የጉባኤ ክፍል ያለምንም አካውንት በእንግዳ ሁነታ መጠቀም ይችላሉ። የተቀመጡ ተወዳጅ መዝሙራት፣ የንባብ ጉዞ፣ ማስታወሻዎችና የጸሎት መዝገብ ከስልክ ወደ ስልክ እንዲከተሉዎት በGoogle አካውንትዎ መግባት ይችላሉ። መግቢያው Google ብቻ ነው።
• የአካውንት ደህንነት፦ የስልክዎንና የGoogle አካውንትዎን ደህንነት የመጠበቅ ኃላፊነት የእርስዎ ነው።
• አካውንት ማጥፋት፦ በማንኛውም ጊዜ አካውንትዎንና የተቀመጡ መረጃዎችን ሙሉ በሙሉ ማጥፋት ይችላሉ፦ ቅንብሮች → የእርስዎ አካውንት → አካውንቴን ሰርዝ።

3. የተጠቃሚዎች ጥቆማና ተሳትፎ

• ይዘት ማቅረብ፦ የመዝሙር ግጥም፣ የአብያተ ክርስቲያናት መረጃ፣ ዝግጅት ወይም ማስተካከያ ለጉባኤ ሲያቀርቡ፦

1. መረጃውን የማቅረብ መብት እንዳለዎትና እስከሚያውቁት ድረስ ትክክለኛ መሆኑን ያረጋግጣሉ።
2. የቀረበው ይዘት የሌላ ሰው የቅጂ መብት እንደማይጥስ ኃላፊነት ይወስዳሉ።

• የፈቃድ ስምምነት፦ ይዘት ማቅረብዎ ጉባኤ መረጃውን አዘጋጅቶና አቀናጅቶ በመተግበሪያው ውስጥ እንዲያሳይ ፈቃድ መስጠት ነው።
• ማረጋገጥና ማንሳት፦ የቀረቡ ጥቆማዎች በሙሉ ከመታተማቸው በፊት በአስተዳዳሪ ይመረመራሉ። ጉባኤ ማንኛውንም ጥቆማ ያለቅድመ ማስታወቂያ የመቀበል፣ የማረም ወይም የመሰረዝ መብቱ የተጠበቀ ነው።
• ለሌሎች የሚታይ፦ በአንድ ዝግጅት ላይ ፍላጎት እንዳለዎት ወይም እንደሚገኙ ምልክት ካደረጉ፣ የመገለጫ ስምዎ ዝግጅቱን ለሚመለከቱ ሌሎች ሰዎችና ለአዘጋጆቹ ሊታይ ይችላል።

4. የይዘትና የአእምሯዊ ንብረት ባለቤትነት

• ቅዱስ መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ፦ እዚህ የቀረቡት የእንግሊዝኛ ትርጉሞች በዓለም አቀፍ ደረጃ ከቅጂ መብት ነፃ ናቸው፤ የአማርኛው ጽሑፍ የ1954 መደበኛ ትርጉም ነው። ጉባኤ በሚያቀርበው በማንኛውም የቅዱሳት መጻሕፍት ጽሑፍ ላይ የባለቤትነት መብት አይጠይቅም።
• የቤተ-መጻሕፍት ይዘቶች፦ ክላሲክ መጻሕፍት ከ1928 በፊት የታተሙና ከቅጂ መብት ነፃ የሆኑ ናቸው። ትምህርታዊ ጽሑፎች ለትምህርት የተሰበሰቡ ሲሆኑ የጸሐፊዎቻቸው ስምና ምንጫቸው ተጠቅሷል። ጉባኤ በሌሎች ጽሑፎች ላይ የባለቤትነት መብት አይጠይቅም።
• የመዝሙር ግጥሞች፦ የመዝሙር ቃላትና ግጥሞች የዘማሪያን፣ የደራሲያንና የአሳታሚዎች ንብረት ናቸው። የቀረቡት ለግል አምልኮ ብቻ ሲሆን፣ ለንግድ ማዋል ወይም መሸጥ የተከለከለ ነው።
• የመተግበሪያው ሶፍትዌር፦ የጉባኤ ሶፍትዌር፣ ንድፍ፣ ዓርማና መለያዎች በአእምሯዊ ንብረት ሕግ የተጠበቁ ናቸው። መተግበሪያውን መበተን ወይም መረጃውን በጅምላ መዝረፍ የተከለከለ ነው።

5. ማስታወቂያ

• መተግበሪያው በነጻ መቅረቡን እንዲቀጥል የGoogle AdMob ማስታወቂያዎችን ያሳያል።
• ቅዱስ መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ ለሁሉም 100% ከማስታወቂያ ነፃ ነው። በመጽሐፍ ቅዱስ ንባብ ክፍል ውስጥ ማስታወቂያ በፍጹም አይታይም።
• የደንበኝነት ምዝገባ፦ ጉባኤ ዛሬ የደንበኝነት ምዝገባ አይሸጥም። ወደፊት ቢቀርብ፣ ተመዝጋቢዎች ምንም ማስታወቂያ አያዩም።

6. የበጎ ፈቃድ ድጋፍና የጉባኤ ቤተሰብ

• በTelebirr፣ CBE፣ M-PESA ወይም በBuy Me a Coffee የሚደረጉ ድጋፎች የበጎ ፈቃድ ስጦታዎች እንጂ ግዢ አይደሉም፤ ክፍያም በመተግበሪያው ውስጥ አያልፍም።
• ተመላሽ የማይደረግ፦ ድጋፉ ስጦታ በመሆኑ ተመላሽ አይደረግም።
• የጉባኤ ቤተሰብ ባጅ፦ በመገለጫዎ ላይ የክብር ካርድ ይሰጥዎታል፤ ማስታወቂያን ግን አያስቀርም፤ የቤተሰብ አባላትም ማስታወቂያ ያያሉ።

7. የተከለከሉ ተግባራት

• ሕገ-ወጥ፣ የስድብ፣ የስም ማጥፋት ወይም የጥላቻ መልእክቶችን መላክ።
• የመተግበሪያውን ይዘቶች በቦት ወይም በስክሪፕት በጅምላ መዝረፍ።
• በጉባኤ ሰርቨሮችና አውታረ መረብ ላይ ጉዳት ለማድረስ መሞከር።

8. የኃላፊነት ገደብ

• ጉባኤ ነጻ አገልግሎት ሲሆን ያለ ምንም ዋስትና "እንደቀረበው" የሚሰጥ ነው። አገልግሎቱ ያለ መቆራረጥ ይሠራል ወይም መረጃ በፍጹም አይጠፋም የሚል ዋስትና አይሰጥም።
• ሕጉ በሚፈቅደው ከፍተኛ ደረጃ፣ መተግበሪያውን በመጠቀም ወይም መረጃ በመጥፋቱ ለሚደርስ ጉዳት ጉባኤ ተጠያቂ አይሆንም። ሊተኩ የማይችሉ የጸሎት ማስታወሻዎችዎን ኮፒ አድርገው እንዲይዙ ይመከራሉ።

9. የውሎች መሻሻል

ጉባኤ እነዚህን ውሎች ሊያሻሽል ይችላል። ከላይ ያለው ቀን የመጨረሻውን ማሻሻያ ያሳያል፤ ከተሻሻሉ በኋላ መጠቀምዎን መቀጠል መስማማትዎን ያሳያል።
