Delete your Gubae account

Application: Gubae : ግባኤ — com.gubae.app

You can delete your Gubae account at any time, and you do not need anybody's permission to do it. This page explains how, and exactly what goes and what stays.

1. Deleting from inside the app

This is the quickest way, and it happens immediately.

Open Gubae and make sure you are signed in.
Go to Settings.
Choose Delete my account.
Read what it tells you, then type DELETE to confirm.

Your account is removed there and then, and you are signed out. Nobody can undo this, including us.

2. Asking us to delete it instead

If you cannot open the app — a lost phone, or an account you can no longer sign in to — write to us:

Email: support@getgubae.com
Send it from the email address of the account, so we can tell it is yours. If you cannot, tell us which address the account uses and we will write back to that address to confirm before anything is deleted.
Put Delete my account in the subject.

We will confirm when it is done. We do not ask for a reason, and you do not have to give one.

3. What is deleted

Your account itself, with your email address and display name.
Bookmarked songs, your notes and your highlights.
Reading plans, reading days, reading history and streaks.
Library bookmarks and any questions you asked.
Events you marked an interest in.
Anything you submitted that is still waiting to be reviewed.
The copy of all of this held on your phone.

4. What stays, and why

Contributions that were already published. A song, an event or a church of yours that an administrator approved stays in Gubae, because other people are using that catalogue. Your name is removed from it, so it is no longer connected to you. Your name was never shown on it in the first place.
Backup copies. Our hosting provider keeps routine backups of the database. A copy of your rows can remain in those for a short period until the backups age out and are overwritten. Nobody reads them, and they are not used for anything.

5. Your prayer journal

Your prayers are kept on your phone only. They are never sent to us, there is no copy of them on any server, and no administrator has ever been able to read them.

That means deleting your account does not need to reach them. Deleting your account clears them from the app along with everything else, and uninstalling Gubae removes anything left.

It also means that if you change phones, your prayers do not follow you unless your phone's own backup carries them.

6. How long it takes

From inside the app: immediately.
By email: within 30 days of us confirming the request is yours, and usually much sooner.

በማንኛውም ጊዜ የጉባኤ አካውንትዎን ማጥፋት ይችላሉ፤ ለዚህም የማንንም ፈቃድ አይጠይቅም። ይህ ገጽ እንዴት እንደሚያጠፉት፣ ምን እንደሚጠፋና ምን እንደሚቀር በግልጽ ያስረዳል።

1. ከመተግበሪያው ውስጥ ማጥፋት

ይህ ፈጣኑ መንገድ ሲሆን፣ ወዲያውኑ ይፈጸማል።

ጉባኤን ይክፈቱ፤ እንደገቡ ያረጋግጡ።
ወደ ቅንብሮች ይሂዱ።
አካውንቴን ሰርዝ የሚለውን ይምረጡ።
የሚነግርዎትን ያንብቡ፤ ከዚያ ለማረጋገጥ DELETE ብለው ይጻፉ።

አካውንትዎ ወዲያውኑ ይጠፋል፤ እርስዎም ይወጣሉ። ይህን መመለስ የሚችል ማንም የለም፤ እኛም ጭምር።

2. እኛ እንድናጠፋልዎት መጠየቅ

መተግበሪያውን መክፈት ካልቻሉ — ስልክ ከጠፋ፣ ወይም ወደ አካውንትዎ መግባት ካልቻሉ — ይጻፉልን፦

የእርስዎ መሆኑን ማረጋገጥ እንድንችል አካውንቱ በተከፈተበት ኢሜይል አድራሻ ይላኩልን። ይህ ካልተቻለ አካውንቱ የሚጠቀመውን አድራሻ ይንገሩን፤ ከማጥፋታችን በፊት ወደዚያ አድራሻ ጽፈን እናረጋግጣለን።
በርዕሱ ላይ Delete my account ብለው ይጻፉ።

ሲጠፋ እናረጋግጥልዎታለን። ምክንያት አንጠይቅም፤ እርስዎም መናገር አይጠበቅብዎትም።

3. የሚጠፋው

አካውንትዎ ራሱ፣ ከኢሜይል አድራሻዎና ከመገለጫ ስምዎ ጋር።
ተወዳጅ መዝሙሮች፣ ማስታወሻዎችዎና የቀለም ምልክቶችዎ።
የንባብ ዕቅዶች፣ የንባብ ቀናት፣ የንባብ ታሪክና ተከታታይ ቀናት።
የቤተ-መጻሕፍት ምልክቶችና የጠየቋቸው ጥያቄዎች።
ፍላጎት እንዳለዎት ምልክት ያደረጉባቸው ዝግጅቶች።
ገና በመገምገም ላይ ያለ የላኩት ማንኛውም ነገር።
በስልክዎ ላይ ያለው የእነዚህ ሁሉ ቅጂ።

4. የሚቀረውና ለምን እንደሆነ

አስቀድሞ የታተሙ አስተዋጽኦዎች። በአስተዳዳሪ ተመርምሮ የታተመ መዝሙር፣ ዝግጅት ወይም ቤተ ክርስቲያን በጉባኤ ውስጥ ይቆያል፤ ምክንያቱም ሌሎች ሰዎች በዚያ ካታሎግ እየተጠቀሙ ነው። ስምዎ ግን ከእሱ ይወገዳል፤ ከእንግዲህ ከእርስዎ ጋር አይገናኝም። ስምዎ ከመጀመሪያውም አብሮ አይታይም ነበር።
የመጠባበቂያ ቅጂዎች። አገልግሎት ሰጪያችን የመረጃ ቋቱን መደበኛ የመጠባበቂያ ቅጂ ይይዛል። የእርስዎ መረጃ ቅጂ እነዚያ ቅጂዎች እስኪተኩ ድረስ ለአጭር ጊዜ ሊቆይ ይችላል። ማንም አያነባቸውም፤ ለምንም ነገርም አይውሉም።

5. የጸሎት ማስታወሻዎ

ጸሎቶችዎ በስልክዎ ላይ ብቻ ይቀመጣሉ። ወደ እኛ ፈጽሞ አይላኩም፤ በየትኛውም ሰርቨር ላይ ቅጂያቸው የለም፤ ማንኛውም አስተዳዳሪ ሊያነባቸው ፈጽሞ አልቻለም።

ስለዚህ አካውንትዎን ማጥፋት እነሱን መድረስ አያስፈልገውም። አካውንትዎን ሲያጠፉ ከሌላው ሁሉ ጋር ከመተግበሪያው ይጸዳሉ፤ ጉባኤን ሲያነሱትም የቀረው ሁሉ አብሮ ይጠፋል።

በሌላ በኩል ደግሞ ስልክ ቢቀይሩ፣ የስልክዎ የራሱ መጠባበቂያ ካልያዛቸው በቀር ጸሎቶችዎ አይከተሉዎትም።

6. የሚፈጀው ጊዜ

ከመተግበሪያው ውስጥ፦ ወዲያውኑ።
በኢሜይል፦ ጥያቄው የእርስዎ መሆኑን ካረጋገጥን በኋላ በ30 ቀናት ውስጥ፤ አብዛኛውን ጊዜም ከዚያ በጣም ቀድሞ።
